Iron sculpture Infinity Loop Gold Stainless Steel Fountain Sculpture
Iron sculpture is reinterpreted through a flowing infinity-loop composition in this contemporary fountain artwork. Interlocking rings expand, tilt, and pass through one another, creating an open structure with continuous movement and a strong sense of balance. Realized as a golden stainless steel sculpture, the reflective surfaces catch changing light across every curve, while the surrounding water introduces an additional layer of motion.
The visual strength of this iron sculpture comes from the contrast between its substantial scale and seemingly effortless geometry. Each loop maintains a clear individual outline, yet the forms remain connected as one unified composition. Designed as a custom stainless steel sculpture, the piece combines sculptural rhythm, metallic reflection, and fountain elements without allowing any single feature to dominate the overall design.

 | Process Details- A 1:1 scale model made of ABS plastic is produced using 3D printing technology. For the sculpture’s surface, 2.0mm-thick 304 stainless steel sheets are used; these are cut based on layout lines marked on the model and shaped into the required curvature through manual forging—involving approximately 3,000 hammer strikes per square meter—followed by assembly and spot welding. Flat sections are precision-cut via laser based on Rhino software designs and then assembled. The finishing process begins with grinding down weld seams and forging marks using 80-grit abrasives, followed by progressive sanding with 120- to 320-grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth, even surface. The coating sequence is as follows: first, an epoxy zinc-rich primer; second, application of high-temperature automotive body filler (putty) sanded smooth with 400-grit sandpaper; third, another layer of epoxy zinc-rich primer; fourth, application of a two-component colored topcoat; and fifth, a protective glaze/sealer finish. Finally, the sculpture is oven-baked at temperatures between 100°C and 180°C for 80 minutes.

 | Design Philosophy- Infinite Loop Structure
The interwoven ring form represents continuity and unity, creating a smooth visual flow that guides the eye through space. - Golden Reflective Surface
Brushed gold finish interacts with natural and artificial light, giving the sculpture a warm and dynamic visual presence throughout the day. - Water and Space Rhythm
The surrounding fountain system strengthens movement in the composition, combining water, reflection, and structure into a unified spatial experience.
